Japanese Garden by Doormouse

I have always love Japanese art forms and was inspired by Xntiks Oriental Odessey to design something Japanese. I could have gone on and on as there are so many possible sources of inpiration. Mostly my inspiration was a visit to a garden with an oriental theme and some of the photos I took. The bridge I found so beautiful I just had to include it. Its a bit different for me, I hope you like it. There is an alphabet included with this one. The background papers are all based on bamboo or crumpled paper with cherry blossom.

Hollyhock Kaleidoscope by akida29

I am really enjoying the Kaleidoscope effect, as both this kit, and my previous one, were made with it. Everything but the journal papers was made from a single picture of a hollyhock. I hope you find the designs as pretty as I do!!

Xntrik Goes On Vacation - What Fun!!

Well, my dear Friends, Pauline went on vacation, so Therol and I decided to follow suit. We're going to Utah to a family reunion and to see two of our Grandsons, then on to re-explore the wonderful Southwestern area we live in. We've plans for going to Moab, Utah (there is a fabulous micro-brewery there), the Petrified Forest (but I don't think they'll let me bring home a sample from there LOL), Canyon de Chelly and then where-ever the road leads us. We plan on being back around the 30th, but may come home sooner and just hang out here. That's whats lovely - no plans, no reservations, just the big old sky and us! I hope you enjoy my next kit - All In Green. Tina and Pauline posting it for me while I'm gone(it is in two parts - cause it's big). Hugs, Xntrik aka Linda

Raspberry Crush Brocade Paper Pack

I loved the last paper pack I created for you so much that I decided to offer you the same papers in a different colour range! Raspberry, burgundy and purples, gorgeous hot colours! Enjoy!

These are quite dark papers, and I was being a bit self-indulgent when I created this page. I just love these photos that Alan took of me last week - and I don't like so many photos of myself these days - and the colours of these papers seemed just right for them. So, this is me cruising on the English Canals - and having a great time! I know it is just a simple LO - but I couldn't bring myself to "hide" too much of the background paper!

Hi - I'm back

Well - I have had a wonderful week cruising along the waterways of England. Our route was altered by the floods that the UK have suffered of late as some sections of river where inaccessable. However - we still had a great time! Below is a Layout of photos from the first half of the week. I decided that the photos said it all. The name of the narrow boat was "Just Chuggin Along" As you can see from the Lay out below - I have proof that I got to steer!

Water Colour Daisies by Doormouse

I have to say, I think this is my favourite of all the kits I have created so far. I love daisies and found some amazing software that allowed me to create these beautiful papers and elements. I am looking forward to seeing what you can do with this one. Please send us some links - it makes my day to see how creative you all are!

Time for a much needed holiday!

Well, its the end of a very busy week and I get to go away for a much needed break! From Saturday 7th to Saturday 14th July, my family and I will be on a Canal Narrow boat with no internet access (how will I cope!) so I won't be able to answer any emails or messages, but Tina & Linda won't mind at all if you email them!
While I am away Tina is going to post my new kit - Watercolour Daisies - so just to whet your appitite, I thought I would show you a page I created with it.

Oh, and if you like participating in scrapbooking challenges, I am starting a challenge with this kit at Scrapbook Flair on Monday 9th July. And I shall look forward to seeing lots of beautiful pages created with the kit when I get back! So this week while creating your pages, think of me in the English rain, drinking wine and relaxing on the Narrow boat. I am so glad that there are lots of pubs along the canals in England, which means I won't need to do much cooking!

Suave Silver & Power Ties by akida29

This is a somewhat darker kit than usual, but I found there really was not much out there to use when scrapping pictures of men...hopefully, you will find this useful! The solid ties (cravats, actually), as well as the large tie tacks, can be used as journal tags.

It's About Time by Doormouse

One of my other passions (apart from digital scrapbooking!) is family history, and creating heritage scrapbooks. My frustration at not finding many kits that gave me the elements I wanted, resulted in this kit. I'm fascinated by time and the history of our ancestors. I really hope that you find this a good kit for all those heritage Layouts!
It started out as a very small kit - but I suppose you'd now call it a mega kit! I had such fun creating this one, playing with effects and layers etc to create the backgrounds. Every kit I make - I learn more and I hope this means that what I create for you will get better as time goes by!

Time for another Lay out I think - after all, there is no point having all these kits if I don't do anything with them is there? This is one of the LO's I created with this kit and you can see others at Scrapbook Flair if you want to see how versatile it can be. The photos are of my grandparents, my dad and great aunt and uncle - taken during the war. I wanted to record how life carried on while grandad was away in the army during the war.

This is me and my two sisters in about 1967. We often had matching dresses, but I also remember using the belt of this one to tie my sister to a tree at school.... I love the colours of these papers and the way they matched the colours of our dresses!

Mackintosh by Doormouse

I have always loved the designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh from the 1920's. This kit is inspired by his work. I hope you all enjoy using it as much as I did creating it!
